06-17-08 Neuschwanstein

Neuschwanstein Castle is near Fussen, Germany nestled in the foot of the Bavarian Alps. This is the castle that Disneyland Castle was modeled after. The castle itself, like most Midievil sites in Bavaria had pretty much exchanged hands and gone through multiple bankrupcies or pillagings so while the face was marvelously intact, the furnishings weren't. However, the folks here did make a great attempt at selecting a few rooms to decorate properly (and hopefully accurately) and it was neat to see how kings lived back in the day.

Hello Kat,

Wow! It's amazing what you and Jonathan are doing right now. The places you've visited are beautiful. I can't wait to see pictures when you visit the Asian Countries.

Just wondering and for our reference, can you give us an advice on how much should we save to travel into these places?

Take care,
Emmylou
