07-25-08 Bologne sur Mer, France

Stopped by Bologne sur Mer as this is where our ferry from the UK dropped us off. We saved about $600 by taking the ferry rather than the Eurostar and you know what that means: blow it on food!!! We at at the Malote restaurant where we were staying, a Michelin one star establishment. We had turbot as a main and Kathleen in usual fashion, fois gras appetizer and mine, an oyster with a foamed mussels sauce. It was so good and well worth every extra minute on the ferry. Meanwhile, as for pictures: this is my new arctery'x backpack filled to the brim and now my standard in-transit haut coutur. All together, it weighs about 90 lbs. Bologne sur Mer is a seaside city, and the downtown area reminded me a bit of California St in Nob Hill part of SF. Last two are some pics I took of the town. Very quaint indeed!
