Egypt was the most culturally eye-opening and amazing historical leg that we've had so far. This was our first Arab country and with good parts of the country akin to third world. The Great Pyramids (pictured above) is actually the only ancient wonder of the world to be in tact. It's easy to imagine and validate theories that aliens landed to help the egyptians build these monuments. They are huge! The blocks that you see Kathleen sitting in were the individual blocks used to assemble the pyramids. It gives you a sense for the size. It is actually rather crazy how sophisticated, organized and hard working people were more than 4000 years ago. So many times I just zoned out imagining what it would be like if I were a pharaoh and built all of this and what it would have looked like back then. Wow! Egypt looks awesome. I can't believe you two were on camels. It is surreal. Hope you both are having fun and , once again, I am totally jealous.

keep the cipro close if you go to egypt. in fact, i would take it preventatively.
