Drove from one side of crete to the other in our nissan micra. Its about 50 horse power and can't pass worth anything but it's the first stick shift that Kathleen's driven and I'm proud to report she learned extermeley quickly. This drive was rather picturesque and we stopped by a few beaches. Unlike Santorini, most of these beaches were long and sandy versus rocky and w/in alcoves. Good thing Kathleen packed sandwhiches during breakfast (they offer 'included' bread and deli meats). We've been packing sandwhiches and looking really cheap and sneaking them back to our room!
